Who can play for the Lady Wildcats?
Girls ages 9–16 from Delaware County and the surrounding area. The club fields nine teams each season across the age groups, from 9U to 16U — see our teams.
When are tryouts held?
Every February, usually on weeknights and Sundays. Each age group has its own session — dates, times and gyms are posted on the tryout information and schedule pages.
Where do teams practice and play?
Primarily at Tri-State Sports in Aston, plus Penn State Brandywine in Media and Parkside Elementary in Brookhaven. Addresses and map links are on the directions page.
What does the club fee cover?
Participation in six or more tournaments, twice-weekly practices (subject to gym availability), the team uniform, insurance and the AAU card. Rates and details are on the fee schedule.
When is the season?
Tryouts in February, tournament weekends from March through June, Regionals in May, and AAU Nationals plus high-school showcases in July. The typical rhythm is on the season calendar.
Do players need their own AAU card?
No — the AAU card is included in the club fee, so every Wildcat is registered with the AAU for the season.
Who are the coaches?
Experienced local coaches lead every squad — the 2014 staff, for example, included Justin Proper, Mark Jones, Tom Breen, Jim Falcone and Eileen Ross. Meet them on the coaching staff page.
How competitive is the program?
Wildcats teams play to win — regional gold medals, tournament titles and Nationals trips from 2004 through 2015 are listed on the accomplishments page. Development and sportsmanship come first.
